Opening of admissions is normally announced through the leading English, Urdu and Sindhi Newspapers in December to February every year.
Admissions are restricted to Class VIII only. However candidates are admitted under self–finance scheme on limited available seats in Class IX and XI.
Sons of persons domiciled in Sindh are entitled to apply for admission against seats reserved for residents of each administrative Division viz Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Karachi, Sukkur & Larkana. However 5% Seats are reserved for Balouchistan, 5% Seats are reserved for KPK and Punjab Province. 1 % is reserved for AJK/IHK. Further Seat Allocation is in College Prospectus.
a) Candidates must not be under 12 years and over 14–½ years on 31st March, in the year of admission.
b) Candidates must have passed Class VII at the time of admission. However, applications of such boys, who are studying in Class VII, can be accepted provisionally.
c) Age limit for Class IX is 12-½ years to 15 Years and for XI 15 years to 17 Years.
i) Candidates take written test in Mathematics, English, IQ/ General Knowledge and Elementary Science and either in Urdu / Sindhi (Candidates’ choice). Elementary Science & Mathematics papers can be attempted in English/Urdu/Sindhi. All papers will be of 50 marks each. The duration of each paper
a) English and Urdu/Sindhi = 1 Hour
b) Science, Mathematics = 45 Minutes
c) IQ/General Knowledge = 30 Minutes
ii) The level of tests is upto the standard of Class VII for entry into Class VIII. Model Test Papers for general guidance are attached with the Prospectus, but any question considered suitable for the test can be set in any form. The Model Papers may be downloaded
iii) Examination centres for the written tests are Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Quetta and College Campus. Candidates are to indicate their choice of centre in the admission form. Request for change of centre must be made timely and for genuine reasons.
iv) The date for the test is intimated to every eligible candidate and is also announced through Press.
v) The Entry Test for the college is a competitive examination and high merit is required for gaining success.
vi) Success or failure in the written test is normally intimated to the candidates within four weeks from the date of examination. The detailed results of tests are strictly confidential and no queries / correspondence is entertained in this connection.
i. Those who qualify the written test are called for interview and medical examination normally within a fortnight of the declaration of the result of the written test.
ii. The Interview Board is constituted and the centre for interview and Medical Test will be the college campus.
iii. The College Medical Officer conducts the medical examination according to the prescribed medical standards.
iv. Candidates declared medically unfit or temporarily unfit can request the Principal for medical review and can appeal before Medical Board of the Combined Military Hospital, Hyderabad / PNS Shifa Karachi normally within seven days after the declaration of the result of the medical test. The decision of the Board shall be final and binding.
The medical test and interview are normally conducted concurrently on the same day.
i. Application Forms (supplied with prospectus), complete in all respects, are to be submitted by the last date mentioned in the advertisement published in the press. On receipt, the forms are scrutinized and eligible candidates shall be issued roll numbers.
ii. Written test is held on a date which is advertised in the press and also individually intimated through mail.
iii. Those who qualify the written tests are individually intimated and called for interview and medical examination. Failed candidates, too, are informed and their documents are returned.
iv. Those who qualify all stages are placed on admission list drawn according to performance. Final selection is then based on this list and the relevant quota.
v. Final call up letters for joining are then issued and the selected candidates are to join by a date indicated.
